Altucher’s Top 1% Advisory is the culmination of James Altucher’s more than 20 years experience on Wall Street, as a private investor, hedge fund manager and author.

When James first got involved in investing he didn’t have any special “in.” He was a web developer who made out very well following the sale of his first startup, making web sites for companies.

Then in the 90’s James wanted to be an investor, but didn’t know where to start.

So he started cold-calling the heavyweights.

He called hedge fund managers. Institutional investors. Bank presidents.

He called just about every person in the industry that he could think of, not because he wanted them to hire him or give him money, but because he wanted to learn about investing. He wanted to learn the tricks of the trade from the best in the business. He wanted to learn more about what they were doing and how they were doing it.

Not everyone he called agreed to meet, but those who did offered invaluable insights into what professional, successful investing is all about. They were his introduction into this world.

He learned the techniques that the biggest, most successful hedge funds use to post profits year after year, eventually starting his own hedge fund known as a fund of funds.

After years of running the hedge fund and becoming a successful angel investor, he’s built up a network of contacts that keep him informed to this day.

He’s still in touch with these same contacts (and more) on a regular basis, talking about the latest hedge fund moves and learning all about the under-the-radar opportunities that the best in the business are trading every day.

It’s a way of staying in touch with the world of professional investors and it offers James a unique, powerful tool to inform his own investments.

It’s the most valuable resource James has.

And now he wants to share it with you.
